About UniSell
UniSell is an independent marketplace for UT Dallas students. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by the University of Texas at Dallas, Meta, or Facebook. UniSell connects buyers and sellers and is not a party to their transactions.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18, a current UTD student, and able to receive email at an @utdallas.edu address. Email verification proves inbox access, not student status or identity. Keep your account secure and do not share sign-in codes or use another person’s account.
Listings and transactions
List only lawful items you own and may sell. Describe the item accurately, disclose defects, use photos you have permission to share, and honor agreed terms. Buyers and sellers arrange inspection, delivery, payment, and any refunds directly. UniSell does not hold funds, provide escrow, inspect goods, insure purchases, or guarantee refunds.
Community standards
Follow the safety rules. Fraud, harassment, discrimination, impersonation, spam, stolen goods, and prohibited items are not allowed. Do not publish personal documents, private addresses, or another person’s information without permission.
Content and moderation
You retain ownership of your content and grant UniSell permission to store, display, and transmit it to operate the marketplace. We may remove content or suspend access for violations or safety concerns. Reports are reviewed by administrators. You may request review of a moderation decision through the operator contact published in the privacy policy.
Risk and responsibility
Transactions are at your own risk. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without guarantees about uninterrupted operation, item quality, or other users’ conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
Material changes to these terms will be dated and presented for acceptance. Contact the operator using the contact information in the privacy policy.
Pre-launch notice: these terms are a starter draft. The operator must identify the operating entity and contact details and obtain appropriate legal review before opening registration.
